Mt. Arayat

First time hiking after 2 years and I believe my body has aged 10 times ever since. I had no idea how challenging this was. π
Apparently climbing Mt. Arayat is considered a major hike, rated 5/9. I think the last time I’ve done a hike is on Mt. Tapyas in Coron and the challenge doesn’t even compare. Being the weak-ass that I am, plus 2 years of staying at home during the pandemic with minimal exercise, I realized halfway that this might have not been the best idea.
It’s also my first time hiking where you start at 3 am and everything around you is still dark. Spooky.
Thoughts while I was doing the hike:
- I wish Philippines built more cable cars.
- Wouldnβt it be awesome if a wind glider like in Genshin is real? Literally wish I could jump off at the peak and use a wind glider. Lol.
The view is pretty nice but I think most people who do this could be just after the challenge.
We always pass through this mountain on expressway while going to the province up north so I guess it’s nice knowing how it looks like from its peak.
